Welcome to this exciting journey towards your beautiful smile with clear aligners! We're so happy to be a part of this with you. To help you feel comfortable and prepared, here are 8 things to keep in mind as you begin.
1. Aligners Give Your Teeth A Gentle Hug
When you first start wearing your aligners or switch to a new set, you might notice a little bit of pressure or tenderness in your teeth. This little new feeling is normal as teeth start to shift. This usually fades within a day or two. If you need a little extra comfort, over-the-counter pain relievers can help.

2. Your Aligners are Your Partners, Wear Them Diligently
For the best efficient results, it's important to wear your aligners as much as possible: ideally 20-22 hours a day. They work their magic when they're on your teeth! Wear them well -- let them work hard for you.
3. Pop Them Out for Eating and Drinking (Except Water!)
One of the great things about clear aligners is that you can take them out to enjoy all your favourite foods and drinks. Just remember to remove them before eating or drinking anything other than plain water. This helps keep your aligners clean and prevents staining.
4. Keep Your Aligners Sparkling Clean
Just like your teeth, your aligners need a little TLC! Gently brush them with a soft toothbrush and rinse them with lukewarm water whenever you take them out. You can also use special aligner cleaning solutions if you like. Keeping them clean helps them stay clear and fresh.

5. Store Your Aligners Safely When They're Out
When your aligners aren't in your mouth, make sure to keep them in their case. This will protect them from getting lost, damaged, or accidentally thrown away. Think of the case as their cozy little home!
6. Be Patient with the Process
Every smile journey is unique, and sometimes things might take a little longer than initially expected. Trust the process and remember that each set of aligners is bringing you closer to your goal. We're here to support you every step of the way!
7. Keep Your Appointments – We're a Team!
Your regular check-up appointments are important for us to monitor your progress and make sure everything is going just as planned. We look forward to seeing you and celebrating your smile milestones!

8. Retainers Help Your Beautiful Smile Stay Put
Once you've finished with your aligners, you'll transition to wearing a retainer. This is a really important step to ensure your teeth stay in their new, beautiful positions for the long term. Think of it as the final hug for your smile!
We're so thrilled to be on this journey with you and can't wait to see your confident new smile blossom!
